The Need
- 1 in 7 Ontario households face food insecurity.
- Shelters and food banks in GTA report record demand.
- Current food systems can’t process rescued vegetables at scale.
Our Solution
- “One Table Kitchen” – Toronto
- Establish a 5,000–8,000 sq ft charitable kitchen.
- Process 5–10 tonnes of vegetables weekly into prepared meals.
- Community volunteer shifts: inclusive, interfaith service teams
- Food recovery: rescue surplus produce from farms and grocers
- Outreach partnerships: food banks, shelters, seniors’ centers, student food programs
Impact (First Year 1 Goals)
- Meals Distributed: 350,000–400,000
- Vegetables Rescued & Processed: 180+ tonnes
- Families & Homeless Reached: 10,000+ unique individuals
