Volunteer With Eknoor Foundation
Volunteers are central to Eknoor Foundation’s mission of strengthening communities through food security initiatives.
We welcome individuals who are committed to service, accountability, and respectful engagement with vulnerable populations.
All volunteer activities are conducted in accordance with Eknoor Foundation’s Volunteer Policies, Code of Conduct, and applicable health and safety standards
Who Can Volunteer
We welcome volunteers who:
Are legally eligible to volunteer in Canada
Share a commitment to dignity, inclusion, and responsible service
Agree to comply with organizational policies and safety guidelines
Certain roles may require:
Background screening
Reference checks
Food handling training
Orientation and supervision
Eknoor Foundation reserves the right to accept, decline, or discontinue volunteer engagement at its discretion.

Operational volunteers must follow:

Eknoor Foundation maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:
Harassment
Discrimination
Abuse or exploitation
Unsafe conduct
Volunteers must:
Treat all individuals with dignity and respect
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Follow safety and supervision guidelines
Immediately report concerns or incidents
Eknoor Foundation does not currently operate unsupervised programs involving children. Should such programming be introduced in the future, enhanced safeguarding and screening procedures will apply.
Health & Safety
Volunteers participating in food-related activities must:
Comply with food handling and hygiene standards
Follow all kitchen supervision instructions
Report health concerns that may impact food safety
Participation is voluntary. Eknoor Foundation maintains appropriate oversight but volunteers assume responsibility for adherence to safety guidelines.
